Fiction Fundamentals (with Kate Senecal) - 6 Weeks - SCHOLARSHIP 50%
This workshop - designed to accommodate both new and experienced writers - is a light-hearted deep-dive into the inner workings of short fiction. It's great for anyone seeking a supportive, weekly writing group, feedback on work in progress, a jumpstart on writing a short story for the very first time, and the opportunity to learn and grow via in-depth craft instruction. The group will explore foundational elements of craft through analysis of published short stories and in-class writing exercises that will lead to each participant having a finished first draft of a short story. The workshop will involve verbal, lighthearted in class feedback. Participants will have the opportunity at the end of class to submit their short story to the instructor for written feedback and suggestions for revision.
