Tales of the Memory Palace: 6 - 100-Word Memoirs (with Giulietta Nardone)
In a fast forward, sound-bite world driven by tweets, texts and titles, short is the new writing “it” girl. Seriously, who has the time to read, let alone write the 80,000 word literary rambles of yesteryear? If you want to be an in-demand storyteller, you need to get in, get out and get going. In this “short” memoir writing adventure, you’ll learn to scope out, swoop down and snatch up important memories from your life then speed write them into miniature masterpieces. Write precise but powerful flashes of insight into the human experience! Six words, 25, 50 words and 100 words. Readings will correspond with those lengths. You will be provided with resources that support writing the short but powerful memoir as well as places to submit for publication. Ready to sprint with us?
