Do you have a book, story, poem, or writing project that has been gathering dust? Do you have pages of material you're not quite sure how to cohere into a larger project? Are you continually asking yourself: "Now what?" In this 3-hour workshop, we'll breathe new life into your work using transformative revision practices. We'll explore how to unearth the deeper story beneath the surface, guiding your writing towards its fullest, most potent expression. Participants will bring in up to 5 pages of writing and will receive supportive and insightful reflections from the group as we go along. You can expect to emerge with new ideas and fresh perspective on your story, a restored sense of excitement, and a multitude of revision practices to become your own best editor. For serious writers of all levels and genres. Limited to 12 writers.

WHEN: 3 Hours: Saturday, May 21 (1 - 4pm EST)

WHERE: Online, via Zoom video conference (live)

RECEIVING THE ZOOM LINK: For one-day workshops, we send out the link to attend the Zoom session 1 - 2 days before the event, via email. For multi-week workshops, you should receive info and the link about 3 - 5 days before. Please mark your calendars when you first register and look for our emails. If you don't see the email in your inbox on the day before the class, please check your spam and junk mail folders (and search all folders) for an email from joy@pioneervalleywriters.org before contacting us. We have found that very often our emails end up in those folders. This is based on your own email settings, and you can prevent this by adding our email as a contact.

ONLINE SESSIONS happen remotely, via Zoom video conference. All you need is a laptop, computer, or phone with functioning audio and a webcam. Those who RSVP receive directions and a link to "join" the session via email (please see above note about receiving the Zoom link). All online instructors will log on to the video conference a few minutes before the start of the session, so please plan to log on early if you'd like assistance! We'll do everything in our power to help you get comfortable with the Zoom format, though we are not able to offer technical assistance beyond basic Zoom orientation.

What People Are Saying About PVWW

"Can't say enough about PVWW, Joy, and her amazing team of teachers! Writing is very much about the ability to sit in your seat for hours and put pen to paper, but coming to PVWW has helped me build a community around my writing, breathe new life into my efforts, and get out of my own head a bit. And beyond that, I've learned lots of practical, nuts-and-bolts techniques that have vastly improved my work."
- Emily Everett, Editor at The Common
